Project Description

The first part of the project setup three Interactive Cyber Zones consisting of 30 computers with additional robotic hardware and relevant software. The Interactive Cyber Zones was made available to an estimated 10,000 users annually within the community and each zone will install a plaque as compliment to Rotary’s donation.

With the use of the setup venue the second part of the project was a series of STEM Education teaching sessions. STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a global trend in teaching framework. The benefits of STEM education include cultivating students’ interest in learning, enhancing their capacity to innovate, and developing their creativity and problem-solving skills.

A STEM competition was then organised and supported by schools to showcase the outstanding group/individual projects. Finally, the third part of the project was to ensure sustainability and adoption of STEM Education by teachers within the classroom environment by conducting a series of teaching sessions for teachers promoting, teaching and showcasing practical examples to them.
