Creating a <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-azure-color\">distinct area of focus to support the environment <\/mark><\/strong>will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is time for us to use our collective resources to invest in a smart and efficient way to protecting our environment,\u201d says Huang. \u201cWe are qualified to take this initiative because we are a global group of problem solvers with diversified talents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#09550c\" class=\"has-inline-color\">In 1990-91, RI President Paulo V.C. Costa made the environment one of his primary causes<\/mark><\/strong>, creating the Preserve Planet Earth subcommittee, which looked at ways clubs and members could conduct environmental initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-azure-color\">Grant applications<\/mark> for projects will be accepted beginning on <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-azure-color\">1 July 2021<\/mark>. To showcase their excellent work, the following pages summarize the District Grant projects.
