ROTARY YEAR THEME – CARBON REDUCTION
Our Mission
To improve the quality of life on Earth by taking eco-friendly actions in Preserve Planet Earth.
Our Objectives
01. To raise the awareness of Rotarians about environmental crisis through EDUCATION.
02 .To share club PPE projects and joint projects across Rotary and with Rotary Partners in creating bigger impact.
03. To achieve 100% Green Rotary Club in our District.
04. By reducing carbon emission on club and district events and carbon offset to achieve Carbon Zero District by 2027.
For the Rotary year 2022-23, there will be thematic Preserve Planet Earth projects including but not limited to:
• Rotary Ecology Day Video Competition
• District Tree Planting
• District Beach Cleaning
• District Carbon Reduction and Marine Conservation projects
More importantly, there will be Seminars / Workshops to educate Rotarians how to calculate carbon footprint and reduce carbon emission.
