Project Description:
Three persons (VTT) from the Mongolian National Authority for Family and Children travelled to Australia over 5-19 April 2019 and gained knowledge of Institutional and legal capacity building and understanding of the purpose, function and structure of Family Relationship Centres. When they return to Mongolia, they:
- Delivered training over the period 15-27 July 2019 on:
- Family dispute resolution in Ulaanbaatar for 52 court appointed mediators selected by the Judicial General Council, and 40 family social workers selected by the National Authority for Family and Children; and
- Parenting skills, The rights of children and Basic conflict competency in Ulaanbaatar for 22 fathers and 75 single-parenting fathers in Erdenet;
- Liaised and coordinated with National Authority for Family and Children on proposing changes to Mongolian Family Law Regulations.
- Translated the Australian Family Law Act to use as an example for reviewing Mongolian legislation
- Produced an animated video to promote family conflict resolution in the community.
