District PPE and Rotary Club of Hong Kong Northeast is pleased to announce that the winner Club of the “Green in Your Hands” competition was achieved by Rotary Club of The HUB Hong Kong. With 20 Clubs’ participation, we have collected more than 50,000 Green$ points on recycling plastic / glass bottles, small appliances, and paper etc.
On June 25, we had invited DG Norman, Rotarians, family and friends to Green Community to recycle together for the final round and helped to redeem around 80 packs of noodles and 16 packs of 1KG rice donating them to 16 elderly homes with partner of St. James Settlement chosen by Rotary Club the HUB Hong Kong!
The whole purpose of the competition was to promote sustainable practices by recycling to earn Green$ Point and to donate the daily necessities to those in need after redemption of the Points from Green Community! And we believe that through this trial of the competition this year, every Rotarian experienced the impact of it after the service which had been arranged on the past Sunday, namely that anyone can Recycle and Donate!
