Maternal and Child Health is a critical component of public health, as it encompasses the well-being of both mothers and their children. The health of mothers is essential for the survival and development of their children, and the health of children is vital for the future of society.

As this complex issue is influenced by a variety of factors, including social, economic and politic factors, this is where Rotary comes in. Through your support, The Rotary Foundation has made significant contributions to improving Maternal and Child Health through various programs and initiatives.

US$2 million from The Rotary Foundation has been granted to 2021-22 Programs of Scale award recipient “Together for Healthy Families in Nigeria” to reduce maternal and neo-natal mortality rate by improving health seeking behavior and quality care for pregnant women, mothers, and newborns in Nigeria.

Being passionate to make a difference in the Maternal and Child Health challenges,

In 2021 – 2022, 90 Global Grant projects amounting US$5.4M have been carried out under “Maternal and Child Health”

In view of the above,

Clubs of D3450 were also actively involved in Global Grant (GG) projects under this Area of Focus. Among them, 8 of them have played the role of Host Partners and carried out 17 GG projects to do good in the world. To showcase their excellent work, the following pages summarize the GG projects with D3450 Clubs as Hosts.
